Standard Process Welcomes New Director of Pet Products

Renee Simovart to lead Standard Process Pet Division, aims to build brand recognition in pet community

9/12/2022

Palmyra, WI (September 12, 2022) — As a leader in whole food-based nutritional supplements, Standard Process® knows the importance of proper nutrition expands past our human family members. That is why for the past two decades, Standard Process has been perfecting high-quality nutritional support for our four-legged friends. The company’s mission to change the lives of animals with the same purity, safety, manufacturing and quality standards as human supplements empowers pet owners to care for their animals as they care for themselves. Joining Standard Process in supporting this mission is Renee Simovart as the new Director of Pet Products. In her new role she plans to work closely with industry partners and organizations to ensure Standard Process pet products are widely recognized and available to veterinarians and pet owners.

“I am very excited to have Renee join Standard Process. She brings a wealth of experience building teams and growing sales in the pet space” said Standard Process Vice President of Operations Scott Anderson. “Her addition demonstrates the company’s commitment to changing lives, of both pets and pet owners, by offering quality products and having a quality team to support them.”

For the past five years Simovart worked within the pet industry as general manager at EPiQ Animal Health, a subsidiary of Covetrus. During this time, she gained invaluable experience developing relationships with industry manufacturers and distributors across sales, customer service, training and supply management. When asked about current trends in the market, Simovart explained, “Seventy percent of households in the U.S. have pets, so we know there’s a significant opportunity to bring brand awareness of Standard Process veterinary formulas to existing and new customers.” Simovart went on to say, “As we think about serving our veterinarian customers, we know they are busier than ever, short-staffed, and dealing with inflation. These are all things we’ll be thinking about as we continue to expand in the veterinary channel.”

Simovart expressed her excitement to join the pet products team at Standard Process, noting the tenure and valuable experience that has allowed the division to build a solid foundation. Additionally, Simovart noted she’s proud to join a company whose values of health and wellness align with her own.

Simovart brings an additional twenty years of diverse management and business experience from companies including, Covetrus, AcuSport, Abbott Laboratories, and Ashland Inc. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Otterbein University and her Master of Business Administration from University of Dayton. Outside of work, she enjoys embracing an active and healthy lifestyle with her husband and three children. She resides in Ohio with her family.
