We talked with Dr. Bond about some of these tips, as well as how nutritional and herbal supplements can prepare you for daily stressors.*


Q: Why do people face daily immune system challenges?

A: Every day I see patients who are overworked, under-rested, and undernourished. Many people today are wired and tired at the same time. A hectic lifestyle, poor diet, not enough exercise, poor sleep, and everyday life stressors can result in the immune system being drained of the support it needs to function optimally.


Q: What are ways to support immune system health?

A: Everyone is different and has unique needs, but for the most part, patients can try basic lifestyle changes like getting enough sleep, avoiding stress when possible, and eating right.

When it comes to diet, start simple. Meat, fish and chicken portions should be the size of the palm of your hand. You should eat four times more vegetables than fruits. Make sure to include good fats like butter, extra-virgin olive oil, fish oil, and coconut butter. We have to feed the body essential nutrients and herbs so when the immune system is called into action, it can respond efficiently and appropriately.*
