  • Promotes healthy epithelial cell development
  • Provides ingredients with antioxidant activity
  • Helps maintain healthy eyes
  • Helps maintain healthy mucous membranes*
How does Cataplex A promote healthy epithelial tissue?

Vitamin A is necessary for the normal proper repair and maintenance of epithelial tissue.1,2 Skin and mucous membranes are made of this type of tissue. Beta carotene is a provitamin A.3 It is a major carotenoid in skin and supports healthy function of a wide variety of organs including cells of the skin, small intestine, and colon.*

How do the ingredients with antioxidant activity support health?

Beta carotene acts as an antioxidant in the skin by quenching high-energy molecules known as singlet molecular oxygen and scavenging other components (reactive oxygen species) that are a normal byproduct of cell function.4,5*

How does Cataplex A support healthy eyes?

Beta carotene is a natural precursor for retinoids, compounds that are used in the eyes to sense light.6 Vitamin A enhances night vision and helps support eye health.7,8*

Whole Food Nutrient Solutions

Since 1929, Standard Process has been the visionary leader in whole food nutrient solutions. We apply systems thinking to holistic nutrition that empowers practitioners to transform lives. Dedicated to the whole food philosophy of our founder, Dr. Royal Lee, our goal is to carry on his mission to provide nutrients for the body that are as close as possible to how they are found in nature.

Our products include foods that are prepared in a way that safeguards their nutritional value. The majority of these ingredients are grown locally on our certified organic farm and may require chopping, dicing, juicing, and/or drying for use in our products. The resulting whole food ingredients are then added to a formula that may include whole food extracts, animal tissue extracts and concentrates, botanicals, whole food isolates, and synthetic ingredients. These highly complex combinations contain a variety of elements designed to trigger trophic effects that support the body’s healthy balance and wellness.*
