GI Flora Balance Program

In last month’s SP News, we highlighted the new GI Flora Balance Program for digestive health. This program offers an updated protocol with a wide range of products for individualized care. We invite you to share our refreshed literature and takeaways from our on-demand education with patients.*

With these new program-related materials, you can start the conversation about gastrointestinal (GI) health and guide your patients in the right direction. Patients who experience indigestion or gas shortly after eating and report stomach “bloating” or occasional loose stools may be candidates for the GI Flora Balance Program. (For a full list of symptoms, visit and search for “systems survey.”)

Updated Protocol

The GI Flora Balance Program includes new recommendations for core products that support the key principles of GI health. You may choose to prescribe alternative product options or adjunctive products depending on your patient’s individual circumstances. The program also provides guidance on advanced support options for more serious concerns.*

“The protocol includes core products, as well as alternative, adjunctive, and advanced support products to meet the individualized needs of your patients,” said Lee Carroll, BSc, BHSc (WHM), a practicing medical herbalist with 26 years experience in the herbal industry working with MediHerb and Standard Process. “Each patient’s specific needs should be evaluated before recommending a personalized protocol.”*

New Literature

The updated literature includes:

GI Flora Balance Program handout (L2725): This guide for health care professionals provides information on what factors affect gut flora, who would benefit from the program, the four principles of the program, and product options to meet the individual needs of your patients.

GI Flora Balance patient guide (L2608): The patient guide provides tips for program success and includes a variety of healthy recipes, including shakes, salads, and main dishes. It also features a customizable supplement schedule and a tracking chart to help patients manage the program effectively.

GI Flora Balance Program brochure (L1038) and display insert (L8932): Showcase the new patient brochure and display insert in your waiting room to gain patient interest in the program and start the conversation on GI health.
