Continuing Education Units: 0

Event Description:

Thyroid hormones are complex and misunderstood, yet hypothyroidism remains to be one of the most common of endocrine disorders. Women, especially those over 50, are more likely to have hypothyroidism. It seldom causes overt symptoms in the early stages, with common first signs such as hair loss, brittle nails, fatigue, weight gain and mood issues. Iodine deficiency is the most common cause of hypothyroidism but there are many other factors such as halide exposure, heavy metals, pesticides, plastics, stress and mineral imbalance and gastrointestinal parasite infection. Medical endocrinology traditionally has taken a reductionist approach, examining hormones in isolation, rather than looking at the system as a whole. Herbs and clinical nutrition have the advantage of a holistic view and when used appropriately, can provide great support for thyroid health. This webinar will cover concepts and protocols that reflect the latest cutting-edge advancements in thyroid management and deliver successful results for your patients. This webinar will give you many new ideas and opportunities to help your patients, some that you may not have always associated with thyroid issues.
