MediHerb Founder Joins New York Chiropractic College Clinical Nutrition Faculty

Professor Kerry Bone, MediHerb co-founder and director of research and development.

Seneca Falls, N.Y. (May 8, 2013)—Kerry Bone, co-founder, former chair and current director of research and development of Australia’s most successful herbal company, MediHerb, will soon be teaching students of NYCC’s School of Applied Clinical Nutrition where he will serve as a guest lecturer, curriculum consultant, and presenter for the highly regarded online master’s degree program.

Professor Bone will also continue to assist in the development of unique extraction processes that maintain herbs in their whole form, complete with their essential components, and is known for having created Kerry Bone’s Essentials for Standard Process, Inc. (the exclusive U.S. distributor of MediHerb products), consisting of the top 15 herbal tablets most often used in his clinical practice.

Professor Bone previously taught at a number of colleges and universities in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the U.S., and he developed curriculum and course material for the Australian College of Phytotherapy’s Master of Health Science (Herbal Medicine) program delivered in conjunction with the University of New England, located in New South Wales, Australia. His work appears in ten books – among them Clinical Applications of Ayurvedic and Chinese Herbs (1996) and Principles and Practice of Phytotherapy (co-authored with Simon Mills in 2000, with the second edition published in 2013) – and countless research papers and peer-reviewed articles.

A native of Australia who currently resides in Warwick, Queensland, Professor Bone completed his Bachelor of Science (Hons-First Class) in Chemistry at Melbourne University in 1973, and his Diploma in Phytotherapy from The School of Herbal Medicine, England (distinguished student) in 1984. His quest for effective herbal therapy and rigid standards for uncompromising quality stimulated his co-founding MediHerb. Today, MediHerb products are distributed to healthcare professionals throughout the United States, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.
