What is the history behind Standard Process?
Standard Process was founded in 1929 by Royal Lee, DDS. The company is a leader in the manufacture of nutritional whole food supplements and has a successful track record of supporting health care professionals. After strong demand from veterinary practitioners for its nutritional whole food supplements, Standard Process created Standard Process Veterinary Formulas exclusively for dogs and cats, and sold through veterinarians. The formulas contain unique combinations of whole food ingredients (whole plants, animal tissue extracts and concentrates, and botanicals) which contain essential vitamins, phytonutrients, and minerals. These supplements help replace the nutrients lost in processed foods.
Where does Standard Process get its ingredients?
We grow many of the plants that are used as the raw materials in our whole food supplements on company-owned, certified organic farmland, where we retain complete quality control. We proudly assure that our supplements contain the highest-quality ingredients.
What quality control measures does Standard Process follow?
We follow current FDA Good Manufacturing Practices. On average, a product is tested six times during the manufacturing process, ensuring quality and safety. Every week, our scientists in our full-scale quality control laboratory perform as many as 900 tests on raw materials, in process product batches, and finished product.

What is Equine Mobility Support made from?
Equine Mobility Support includes glucosamine and small molecule-sized chondroitin for greater availability and absorption by the horse, as well as additional ingredients that target inflammation, promote palatability, and act as antioxidants. Each ingredient is included for a specific effect, and together they work in a coordinated manner to support joint health. It does not contain any binders or fillers. We use the same high quality ingredients in our equine formulas as we do in our human formulas.
