How many acres of farmland does Standard Process have?

We own approximately 1,000 acres of farmland. Currently, 411 acres are organically certified and used to grow ingredients for our supplements.

Can I visit the farm?

Health care professionals are welcome to
schedule a tour.  Please call 800-848-5061 for more information.

Are there animals on the farm?

No.

What sort of machinery is used at the farm?

We use a wide variety of machinery at the farm. We have equipment that was developed before herbicides became widely used, such as cultivators and flame weeders. We also have some very modern machinery that many farmers employ such as soil finishers. Additionally, we have some equipment that was developed for modern era organics such as a Reigi weeder.

What does Standard Process grow?

We regularly grow the following crops: alfalfa, barley grass, beets, Brussels sprouts, buckwheat, carrots, kale, kidney beans, oats, pea vine, and Spanish black radish, as well as a variety of cover crops.

Are the seeds used at the Standard Process Farm organic?

If seed is available organically, that is always our preference as well as our first choice. When seed is not available on a bulk organic basis, we always buy seed that is untreated and guaranteed GMO free. No GMO seed is ever allowed in any form on an organic farm.

Are fertilizers used at the Standard Process Farm?

We try our best to be self-sustaining at Standard Process. We rotate crops extensively to ensure we have a variety of residues in our soil. We are loyal believers in the concept of green manure and we often have 1/3 of the Standard Process acres in some form of green manure rotation at all times. When soil tests show a need for a nutrient, we only apply fertilizers that are organic and included in the OMRI (Organic Materials Review Institute) list of approved materials.

Chlorophyll Top
Chlorophyll Complex
for Healthy Blood and Vascular Systems

Chlorophyll Complex is a fat-soluble extract containing many phytochemicals plus provitamin A (beta-carotene). Ingredients, such as alfalfa, aid in blood coagulation. Chlorophyll compounds maintain normal cell growth, regulation, and proliferation. Provitamin A and other phytochemicals help maintain a healthy vascular system; support the body's normal inflammation response; and may be used as an internal body deodorant.
