Whole Food Fiber
Introduced in 2008
Many things can upset the delicate balance in the intestinal system–stress, traveling, not drinking enough fluids, medications–but especially improper diet. Whole Food Fiber is a good source of soluble and insoluble fiber from whole food sources, which promote optimal health in the intestine. Beets and carrots act as prebiotics to support a healthy balance of gastrointestinal flora and encourage the growth of beneficial microorganisms in the gut. Apple pectin and beets help with digestion and regular elimination, as well as protect the liver and colon from naturally occurring toxins. Health-promoting phytochemical pigments–carotenoids in carrots and betalains in beets–protect against free radicals and support healthy immune system function. Soluble fiber, found in these foods, can slow the absorption of sugar, which supports healthy blood sugar levels when already within a normal range. Other ingredients play a part in maintaining healthy lipid levels when already within a normal range. Because Whole Food Fiber is a powder, it can easily be mixed with your favorite cold beverage, added to foods such as applesauce or yogurt, or mixed in a shake alone or with SP Complete™ or Whey Pro Complete to increase daily fiber and protein intake.†
