Kerry was an experienced research and industrial chemist before studying herbal therapy full-time in the UK where he graduated and joined the National Institute of Medical Herbalists. He is a practicing herbalist (18 year's experience), Director of Research and Development at MediHerb and Principal of the Australian College of Phytotherapy. | He is adjunct Associate Professor at the University of New England in Armidale, NSW, Australia. Kerry has received this appointment in conjunction with the development of their new program, the Masters of Health Science (Herbal Medicine). Kerry is a prolific author with three published herbal medicine books that are renowned as the defining herbal texts in natural medicine schools throughout the world. His technical articles, such as the MediHerb Professional Review, are regularly published in Australia and overseas. Kerry regularly travels to the USA to present to health care professionals.

Since 1996 Reg has worked with MediHerb in Quality Assurance, Production, Technical, and Research areas. His background includes experience in the brewing industry and he has been working in the herbal area for the past 9 years. His present position is Research Manager where he is responsible for the group's research activities such as clinical trial management, phytochemical research, and agronomic research. Reg is regarded as a leading phytochemist around the world and has been invited to present at numerous international scientific conferences. |  | Dr. Kerry Penman Senior Scientist B.Sc. Kerry has been instrumental in the development of the analytical laboratory system at MediHerb over the past four years. Kerry has a background in both licit and illicit drug analysis in humans and racing animals throughout the hospital and government sector. He has over 15 years of experience in research chemistry and particular expertise in the use of HPLC and mass spectrometry. |  | Dr. Anita Matthias Senior Scientist B.Sc. Anita gained her Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree from the University of Tasmania majoring in Biochemistry and Microbiology, and Ph.D. from University of Tasmania (1995) in Biochemistry. Her first post doctorate was in Sweden at the Department of Zoophysiology, Wenner-Gren Institiute, University of Stockholm from 1996-1999. The second post doctorate was at the Biochemistry Department at the University of Cambridge, UK 1999-2000. She is currently investigating the pharmacology and pharmokinetics of Echinacea preparations with the aim of providing greater scientific clarity to the quality and efficacy issues of Echinacea products. This work is funded by the Biotechnology Innovation Fund in conjunction with MediHerb and leading faculties of the University of Queensland. |  | Michelle Morgan Technical Writer B.Sc. Michelle has a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from the University of Queensland (1987) and worked in the scientific field as a laboratory technician for many years. She has expertise in Quality Assurance, working for over 3 years as a Quality Assurance Chemist in building products manufacture. Michelle has worked for over 8 years at MediHerb as Technical Writer where she is responsible for information gathering, technical writing, editing, organising and indexing technical publications. Michelle has completed studies in herbal medicine, and provides health advice to MediHerb staff. |
