Standard Process Inc. Chiropractor Earns Sports Medicine Certification
Only 4,800 doctors internationally hold this distinction
PALMYRA, Wis. (December 27, 2011)—Bryan Muth, D.C., wellness chiropractor for Standard Process Inc., has obtained the postgraduate designation of Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician® (CCSP®) by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians™ (ACBSP™). The CCSP certification requires the doctor to attend a minimum of 100 hours of a 120 postgraduate program. This instruction is specific to physical fitness, and the evaluation and treatment of injuries encountered in sports. Following the completion of these hours, the doctor must then take and successfully pass a comprehensive written examination.
This training will aid Muth in prevention and treatment of athletic injuries by enhancing his diagnostic skills and patient care. The CCSP accreditation, which just over 4,800 internationally have earned, exists to provide a uniform standard of education that assures teams and athletes that the doctor has met a minimum level of competency in chiropractic sports medicine.
Muth, a 2008 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic-Florida, joined Standard Process in 2009 as part of the team facilitating the company's award-winning health and wellness program. He provides chiropractic adjustments, nutritional counseling, and personal training for the company's nearly 300 employees.
In addition to his Wisconsin chiropractic license, Muth holds several other credentials, including certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS), certified chiropractic extremity practitioner (CCEP), and certified kinesio taping practitioner (CKTP). Muth also holds a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
