Standard Process Inc. and Bright Horizons Celebrate the Expansion of the Vita Kids Learning Center
PALMYRA, Wis. (February 1, 2010)–Standard Process and Bright Horizons recently celebrated the completed expansion of the Vita Kids Learning Center. The center was expanded to ensure more Standard Process employees have access to safe, nurturing, educational, and affordable childcare within close proximity to the company's corporate headquarters.
The expansion added 7,075 square feet, tripling the size of the center, and increasing its capacity to 102 children, six weeks to 12 years old. Five new employees have also been hired, bringing the center's faculty to 24 employees. Along with additional classrooms, the expansion includes a commercial kitchen with more space and appliances to accommodate the increased enrollment and an indoor core area for use during inclement weather.

The event, held January 27, was hosted by Standard Process Inc. and Bright Horizons Family Solutions. It featured tours of the center and a short ceremony led by Standard Process and Bright Horizons officials. A singing performance by the pre-K students rounded out the ceremony. Center families, community partners, and government and local school officials were on hand for the celebration.
To foster a work environment where dedication to career and family are valued equally, the DuBois family, owners of Standard Process, partnered with Bright Horizons to create a childcare center. Original construction of the Vita Kids Learning Center began in mid-2002 and was completed in the spring of 2003. The center opened its doors in May 2003 with just under 4,000 square feet and served 38 students with 18 staff members.
