Dr. Jolyn English talks about the products he's come to believe in
In 1956 Jolyn English, DC, opened English Chiropractic Clinic in Devine, Texas. During his 53 years in practice, Dr. English has seen a fair share of patients come through his doors. Some could barely function when they came in, complaining of aches, pains, throbs and twinges: But after a while under his care, they left feeling well and walking straight up. Dr. English specializes in craniopathy–adjustments of the head and neck, including the jaw.
Over the years, he's gained a reputation for handling difficult cases. It is not unusual for him to be called in for a consult and for someone in the room to tell him that he treated them years ago and made such a difference in their life. While he credits his chiropractic skills, Dr. English believes they go hand-in-hand with his nutritional knowledge.
Back in 1957, Dr. English was introduced to Standard Process. His mother's dentist had given her Calcium Lactate and she experienced dramatic improvement in her health. Soon after that a local Standard Process sales representative paid a visit to his practice. He began to study the products, and learned about Applied Kinesiology and how to test for vitamin deficiencies. Today, even at the age of 79, Dr. English continues to educate himself, having taken 182 classes and courses since he graduated chiropractic school. He regularly shares his knowledge with other chiropractors by inviting them to observe him in his clinic.
Dr. English continues to practice 51/2 days a week, working in both his own clinic and a clinic in San Antonio. He whole-heartedly believes in the benefits of nutrition and the role they play in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. He's convinced that whole food supplements are beneficial and asked us to call him back when he turns 100 years old, to prove it.
