PALMYRA, Wisconsin (March 31, 2009)—Standard Process Inc., a Wisconsin-based manufacturer of nutritional whole food supplements, awarded $10,000 in student scholarships at the 2009 National Chiropractic Legislative Conference in February (NCLC). The scholarships were given on behalf of Standard Process and the American Chiropractic Foundation (ACF).
The four students receiving scholarships were: Lindsey Baillie (Northwest Health Science University); Stanton Hom (Southern California University of Health Sciences); Mario Melendez (Southern California University of Health Sciences); and Natalie Regalado (National College of Chiropractic). Winning essays are available online at www.standardprocess.com.
Each student received $2,500 from Standard Process. This was the first year Standard Process and the ACF offered the scholarship program.
To participate, a student had to be an active student member of the ACA (SACA), submit their current curriculum vitae, craft a 500-word essay on the role of nutrition in the chiropractic practice, and attend the 2009 NCLC. Essays were reviewed by an independent panel of five reviewers.
