In celebration of our 80th anniversary this year, this section will feature a different doctor every month who has been a long-standing customer of Standard Process and has embraced the whole food philosophy.
Long before alternative medicine was in full swing, Daniel Cripe, DC, was paving the way for future generations of chiropractors. He started practicing in his dad's chiropractic and naturopathic office in Santa Monica, California shortly after graduating from Los Angeles School of Chiropractic in 1940. He knew many of the now famous practitioners in the then growing fields of nutrition and alternative therapies. He also made house calls for many of the silent movie stars, and others such as gossip columnist Louella Parsons and actress Hedda Hopper.
Dr. Cripe's approach to chiropractic is simple: listen to the patient and learn what makes them tick. He believes all patients can benefit substantially from a healthy lifestyle, which includes chiropractic care, proper nutrition, adequate rest, and Standard Process whole food supplements. This simple, yet effective approach has helped Dr. Cripe serve over four generations of patients.
In the '50s, Dr. Cripe was introduced to Standard Process' whole food philosophy and nutritional products. Since that time Dr. Cripe has sold Standard Process products almost exclusively. He added the MediHerb¨ herbal line of products to his practice as well, offering his patients another superior nutritional benefit.
In his 69 years of practice, Dr. Cripe has seen the huge difference these products make in the lives of those who commit to a serious nutritional program. His long-time favorite products are Biost®, Cardio-Plus®, and Congaplex®.
At 91, Dr. Cripe still practices 3 days week using "hands-on" chiropractic techniques and offering nutritional consultations to patients. What keeps him going? "It's a lot of fun connecting with people and seeing them get well. I have seen some amazing transformations."
Besides chiropractic, Dr. Cripe enjoys organic gardening, which has fueled his interest in the certified organic Standard Process Farm–he can't wait to visit!
Thank you Dr. Cripe for believing in Standard Process and improving patient's lives for four generations.
