Congaplex and Immuplex Modulate Immune Function in vitro

The Discovery Science team continues to research the ability of Congaplex and Immuplex products to modulate immune cell function. Previous experiments demonstrated that Congaplex and Immuplex are able to modulate the activity of a T lymphocyte cell line. In a recent experiment, the effects of Congaplex and Immuplex on the activity of lymphocytes isolated from four healthy individuals were measured. These freshly isolated lymphocytes, also known as primary peripheral mononuclear blood cells (or PBMCs), are a mixture of multiple different cell types. The PBMCs were then treated with a plant protein that caused the T lymphocytes to release a number of pro-inflammatory cytokines.

Treatment with Congaplex and Immuplex enhanced the activity of some cell types while suppressing the activity of other cell types. Lymphocyte activity was similarly modulated in the PMBCs of all four donors. This data builds upon previous data forming a more complete picture as to how Congaplex and Immuplex modulate immune function in vitro.

Positive Findings in Purification Research

A recently published article in the Journal of Chiropractic Medicine discussed the clinical results of a study examining the effectiveness of the 21-day purification program. The research strengthened the theory that a calorie-restricted whole food diet, along with supporting nutritional supplements, can support healthy serum lipids and weight.
