Standard Process' Position on FDA's Proposed "Guidance for Industry on Complementary and Alternative Medicine Products and Their Regulation by the Food and Drug Aministration" Document
(4/25/07) - Standard Process opposes the FDA's recently proposed draft of the guidance document because it is unnecessary and as written, does more to confuse readers than to clarify the regulations.

Standard Process, its dietary supplement products and their labels and marketing materials already are regulated by the FDA, through the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994 (DSHEA). The company is in full compliance with these regulations.

We recommend withdrawal of the proposed guidance document and encourage similar opposition by industry groups and other companies.
