Pilot Clinical Research Program
Several annual awards of $5,000-60,000 (direct costs) are granted for 1-year research projects that address important questions regarding whole food nutritional supplements.
Clinicians, basic science researchers, epidemiologists, social scientists, and junior and senior investigators of all disciplines are invited to apply.
Previous grants awarded include:
- Pilot study of the combination of fenugreek seed and cayenne pepper on the reduction of hemoglobin A1c in adults with metabolic syndrome
- Pilot study of fish oil for the treatment of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in children (NAFLD)
- The influence of anthocyanins on carotenoid bioavailability from purple carrots
- The effect of cruciferous vegetable supplements on estrogen metabolism in healthy premenopausal women
Clinical Case Study Program
In order to help the diverse array of Standard Process practitioners document the use of Standard Process products on their patients, clinical research has put together a series of educational tools.
The following documents are currently available to clinicians and others interested in nutritional health.
Standard Process will award $500 for accepted manuscripts.
The deadline for submissions is September 30, 2008.
